Strategic Planning Process
Each year, we update the Blueprint for Continuous Student Improvement, a document designed to set overall goals for the district and develop a plan to achieve them. The strategic plan shows where the district is headed and what its priorities should be.
We partnered with Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates, an education consulting firm with over 30 years of experience, to help with our strategic planning process. The strategic planning process will look ahead and create a plan that meets our goals for the future. The Strategic Planning Committee and our consultants, Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates, lead the process.

Timeline and Process
Engage
During the engagement phase, focus groups, individual interviews and surveys were administered. A full report of all data gathered during the Engage Phase was created and presented to the district.
Focus
The findings from the Engage Phase were reviewed along with past strategic plans and school district data. A Mission, Vision, Strategic Priorities and Goals was drafted, discussed and revised until a final plan is agreed upon.
Implement & Evaluate
A revised Blueprint for Continuous Student Improvement was presented to the Ashland School Committee for approval. The final approved plan will be executed by the district through specific actions, timelines, resource allocations, and metrics.
